On Thursday November 13^th from 12:30-2:30p., the Progressive Religious Coalition of Augusta will host an active shooter response session led by LT. Michael Humphreys, Lead Training Officer of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department Office of Professional Standards and Training.

The expansive, multi-level campus of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, located at 3321 Wheeler Road in 30909 is the ideal setting for this training to demonstrate the major components of situation awareness, response options, interaction with law enforcement, limited emergency first aid, and recognition of warning signs.

Although open to anyone interested and relevant to many settings, the training focuses on preparing trusted voices in religious congregations to strengthen existing security measures.

There is no fee for this event. Donations are accepted to support the interfaith social justice mission of the PRC.
